Once you are assigned as the task checker, you will receive a checking invitation from the Sender via DottedSign. You will be requested to approve whether the signer has completed the fields correctly. Please see the following steps to complete the checking process.

- Once the signer finishes signing, you will receive a “Request to Check” email notification for checking the task.
- You may also find the task in the “Waiting For Others”. For tasks that are waiting for you to check will indicate “CHECK NEEDED”.
- Click the task.
- You can either “Pass” or “Fail” the pre-filled field accordingly.
During the checking process, you can approve or fail the fields one by one or in bulk. Please see the below scenarios when checking the task.
Scenario 1 - All the fields are filled in correctly.
There are two ways to approve the signing field as a checker.
Method 1 - Approve the fields one by one
- Approve each field by clicking the “Pass” button.
- Once all fields are checked, click “Finish”.
- Click “Confirm” to complete the checking process.
- The Signer will receive a “Passed the Check” email.
Method 2 - Approve the fields in bulk
- Click “All Pass” on the top bar to approve all the signing fields.
- Click “Finish”.
- Click “Confirm” to complete the checking process.
- The Signer will receive a “Passed the Check” email.
Scenario 2 - The field requires revising.
- Click “Fail” for the field you want the signer to revise.
- Click “Finish”.
- Put in the reasons why you want the signer to revise.
- Click “Confirm” to complete the checking process.
- The Signer will receive an email notifying the return of the task.
*Note:
- Checkers do not have permission to decline the checking invitation directly. Please reach out to the Sender if you’d like to transfer the checker role to another person.

Frequently Asked: What Should I Do When the Checking Link Has Expired?
- Click the “View & Check” button in the email notification to check the task.
- You will see a message informing you that this link has expired. Click “Resend” to get a new link.
- You will receive a new link from DottedSign.
- Enter the task via this email and start your checking process.
