In the signing process, you can attach reference files to documents, allowing Signers to review background information or terms before signing, ensuring clarity and transparency. You may also flexibly set whether Signers need to agree to the reference materials or not by adjusting the consent settings according to different task scenarios. This feature helps organizations balance signing efficiency with contract transparency, enabling clear mutual understanding across contexts, such as internal HR processes and external collaborations.
- Click “+” to create a task, and select “Get Signatures”.
- Create a Signing task.
- Enter the Signer’s information and click “Continue”.
- After arranging the fields, click “Continue” to “Review & Send”.
- Choose “+ Select File” under the References section and upload your file.
- Under “Assign Signer”, select at least one Signer to assign the reference file.
- Select the Consent Settings:
- If you select “Not required”, you can choose whether to “Provide the document only after task completion”:
- Checked – The reference file will only be shown after the task is completed.
- Not checked – The reference file will be shown during and after the signing process.
- If you select “Consent required after reading the full content”, a “Consent required” label will appear next to the file name.
- Signers must scroll to the bottom of the reference file and click “Agree” before proceeding.
- Once all settings are complete, click “Save,” then click “Send” to issue the task.
- After the task is completed, the references will be available as a ZIP file attached to the task completion notification email.
Note:
- Maximum file size: 10 MB per file
- Up to 10 reference files per task.
- Supported formats: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .ppt, .pptx, .png, .jpg, .jpeg
- Supported workflows: Templates, Get Signatures, Front Desk Signing, Public Forms
- Only the task Sender, Editors, CC, and Signers have permission to view the references. Even if other team members (including Admins) can access other members’ tasks, they cannot view the references if they are not part of the task.
- In Public Form, if the Form Signer is also the Signer, their post-completion access includes the highest permission from both roles
- Users can download all accessible reference materials after task completion via “Download (.zip)”.
