When creating or completing a task, if the document and its signing settings can be reused in the future, you can save the document as a template with just one click. This feature allows you to directly apply the previously saved template when you need to assign similar tasks without starting from scratch.

Save a Task as a Template With One Click
You can save the task as a template with one click when the task is in the following statuses: "Waiting for Me", "Waiting for Others", "Completed", "Canceled", and "Drafts".
The following tutorial uses "Completed" as an example:
- Go to the section where the task is located in the dashboard.
- Click on the task to enter the task view page.
- Click “More (···)” to expand the tab.
- Click on "Save as Template".
- You can name the template or leave it blank. The system will apply default values to the blank title. After completion, click "Confirm", and your template will be saved in the template list.
Note:
- Upon saving the template, only the essential signature fields will stay the same as your previous settings. Advanced signature settings will be reset to default. If you need to include settings such as advanced fields, attachments, watermarks to your template, please edit it in the settings.
- Please ensure that your current account plan has sufficient template quota for use.
- This feature is not available when the task is either expired or deleted.
- This feature is currently available for DottedSign Web only.
How to View Saved Templates
- Go to "Settings".
- Click on "Template".
- In "Template", you can edit the previously saved template.
Note: Upon saving the template, only the essential signature fields will stay the same as your previous settings. Advanced signature settings will be reset to default. If you need to include settings such as advanced fields, attachments, watermarks to your template, please edit it in the settings.

*Tips: If you wish to replace the document while keeping signature fields and settings as they are, you can save it as a template first, then replace the document directly in the template.
